It's alive!

After many hiccups, here it is

This is Learn, Apply, Repeat, a project that has been in my mind for a long time.

For those who don’t know me, I’m an easy going Brazilian who’s currently living in Toronto, Canada. And, I really like to learn new things! It gives me pleasure to spend my free time reading books, watching tutorials, attending to courses… but nothing really sticks unless I apply the knowledge I just acquired. Trust me, I tried to use brute-force, read or watch the same material many times but only after applying (or partially applying) what I learned, things got stuck in my mind.

The other piece you need to know is that I really love to teach. And I’ve done it since I was in school, with my friends. There are so many stories to be shared about those teaching moments… in due time though.

At this moment, I just wanted to tell everyone about these small peculiarities about me. I’ve been learning a lot about podcasting and writing, but it’s time to put in practice. The content will cover all the possible realms of knowledge I’ve visited and, hopefully, many others that guests will bring and teach me. Let’s see what the future will bring us… I’m super excited with this project and I hope I can bring you with me in this journey.

Lastly, one thing that I’ve learned about startups and products:

“If you don’t feel ashamed of the first version of your product, you shipped too late.”

So, here it goes. My first unpolished piece of copy (i.e. no ChatGPT involved), just moments before I release my first podcast episode. And I’ll leave you with a ‘mantra’ I like to say, once in a while:

“Today better than yesterday; tomorrow better than today.”
